Joel doesn't blog here anymore . . .

Ha. Not that he ever really did much. The funny thing is that having made that declaration, I'll probably end up writing more here in the next few months than I have in the last three years. Three friggin' years. Beautiful. I guess I'll take that "incomplete" after all.

After a while, I might come back. Or I might rally the intesticle fortitude to redirect you to the other place I keep pretending I'm going to blog at (yeah, that sentence is so sorry it deserves to end awkwardly with a preposition--one that is, in fact, quite unnecessary [maybe I am a Texan after all]; like I said, the sentence deserves it: it stays).

Anyway, I have friends who are actually productive, and as I submit comments on their blogs, it seemed that I should tell you that there's no one home. If I told you why, well, that would be blogging, wouldn't it?

Grace, grace. God help us.

If you can make saying no one's at home interesting, imagine what you'd do with a slightly more complex assertion...

You're a good man, JR, and full of kindness. What's odd is that despite the absurdity of your kindness, I still trust your judgment (hey, that's a Jesus attribute--or those are, but I think I mean "that"--that oxymoronic combination; and thank you for the opportunity to use one of my favorite words), so it truly does work as encouragement. Thank you. And, I promise, the blogging is about to break forth.
